Before driving, especially for longer trips, a simple pre-trip inspection helps ensure your vehicle is safe and road-ready.
Pre-trip inspection checklist:
-
Tires: Check for proper inflation, tread wear, and visible damage.
-
Lights: Ensure headlights, brake lights, turn signals, and hazard lights are working properly.
-
Mirrors: Confirm they are clean and properly adjusted for visibility.
-
Windshield wipers: Ensure wiper blades are in good condition and washer fluid is filled.
-
Brakes: Make sure the brake pedal feels firm and that the parking brake works properly.
A few minutes spent on inspection can help avoid breakdowns or unsafe conditions.
